Employee Alcohol Policy

At MillerCoors, we hold our employees to high standards. We believe that our people are our greatest asset, and we work to ensure that they are informed, engaged representatives – inside and outside of the company.
All of our employees must live up to the expectations in our Employee Alcohol Policy. The policy covers employee conduct (inside and outside of the workplace), regulations around alcohol at company sponsored off-site events, the consequences for driving while impaired and other consumption issues. Employees can be disciplined, and even terminated for public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, providing alcohol to anyone under 21. The policy also covers topics like how to obtain employee assistance.
To further support and educate employees on our alcohol policy, we launched a company-wide training program called "Alcohol, Behavior and Communication (AB&C)." Available both in a classroom and online, this training helps employees better understand the issues associated with alcohol consumption.
In addition, the AB&C training drives employee engagement by facilitating an open dialogue. For example, employees discuss how alcohol affects the body, what it means to drink responsibly and the importance of their role as an employee of a beer company. By the end of 2010, nearly 100 percent of our employees had completed AB&C training.
Talking Alcohol
SABMiller has launched a new site, TalkingAlcohol.com, to provide a comprehensive guide to alcohol—from how beer is made to how alcohol impacts the body.
